Special News Bulletin: This week in the NFL

This week, I am going to talk about which teams are looking the strongest in their respective conferences and key injuries. Also, I am going to give my opinion on a football blog.

NFC
As expected, the reigning Super Bowl Champs, the NY Giants, are dominating the competition in their division. So far they have a 8-1 record and are leading the conference in wins. They are 3-0 in divisional match-ups with the only close games being with the Washington Redskins and the Philadelphia Eagles. They should be able to secure one of the top two spots in the NFC playoff seeds.

AFC
Though I do not think their schedule is that tough, I am going to give the Tennessee Titans their dues. They have the only perfect record so far 9-0. But half the teams they played have a winning percentage under .500. As of right now they are destined to make the playoffs have secure a high seed.

Key Injuries
Clinton Portis, running-back of the Washington Redskins, sprained his knee in the final play against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He is questionable for this Sunday's game. Carson Palmer quarterback of the Cincinnati Bengals is still out with an elbow injury. His team will continue to suffer without him. The Oakland Raiders have three key injuries on their roster. Quarterback JaMarcus Russell, running-back Darren McFadden, and defensive end Derrick Burgess are not scheduled to play on Sunday. These three key injuries are going to limit their chances of winning and their chances for the playoffs.

Deadspin
This week on deadspin.com they have a interesting and hilarious article about the NFL fine system. I find that they way they wrote that article just makes you want to read more. You can spend hours upon hours on that website without getting bored. The use of humor just makes the website unique from all the other professional sports blogs. Commenting on the article, I believe NFL fine system in my opinion is flawed. Just because a referee makes a bad call during a game, the player shouldn't be fined because of it. Hopefully the Comissioner will fix these problems.
